Description
Day camp is an opportunity for students to attend a supervised STEAM program safe space on days where school is not in session (i.e. intercessions, teacher workdays, parent-teacher conferences, non-major holidays etc...) During this time, students will embark on a hybrid journey through the wonderful world of STEAM. For the first half of the day, we use the city as our classroom to engage in one real world activity. During the 2nd half of the day, students will engage in a collaborative STEAM experiment that aligns with the real world activity. Overall, we will focus on social and emotional health, provide physical indoor / outdoor activities, and promote the discovery of passion and purpose. Children will develop social skills like teamwork, confidence, leadership, and perseverance.
