Afterschool STEAM Collaboratory

The Train Your Brain Project Afterschool STEAM Collaboratory Event(s) encourages learners to engage, experiment, and investigate in a curious and fun manner. We aim to instill a love for lifelong learning, promote ability growth, and build student confidence in grades PreK 3- 1st grade. 

During afterschool enrichment, children will be introduced to a variety of STEAM components while sharpening their problem-solving and critical thinking skills along the way.  As they embark on a station based sandbox-style journey, their imaginations are encouraged to run wild and free. They have the freedom to create anything they can think of using a variety of old and new STEAM platforms. Our engaging and fun challenges, which feel like games themselves, encouraging collaboration and brainstorming among peers. During  each hands-on experience, students will gain a deeper understanding of STEAM concepts, including coding, artistic exploration & design, social gaming development & design, structure engineering, weird science, sports & math, plus so much more!

In addition to the technical aspects, Our program explores the "A" for Arts in STEAM by nurturing creativity and artistic expression. Students will explore art-making techniques and supplies, while learning how to apply the elements of art in their own creative pieces inspired by artists from around the world. They will have the opportunity to build, break apart, and manipulate digital creatures and 2D/3D art in a matter of seconds, providing endless possibilities for artistic exploration.
